(SUNA) The National Group for Human Rights has strongly denounced the recent move by the Appeal Court of the so-called International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sudan, describing it as politically motivated-decision.
The group pointed out in a statement it issued Sunday that the decision hinders the democratic political transformation represented in the commitment of the political forces to the Interim Constitution that affirms the peaceful transfer of power through elections. The statement added that the ICC move does not cope with the remarkable improvement in the humanitarian situations in Darfur. The Group said also the move also impede the current peace negotiations in Doha between the government and the armed movements. |
