(SUNA) The delegations of the Justice and Equality Movement and Tripoli and Addis Ababa Groups, currently in Doha, have regarded peace as the strategic choice, and also asserted that the Doha forum and international and Qatari mediation are to continue for solving Darfur issue.
This was expressed in the context of their response to queries delivered by the mediation to the movements. The Group of Addis Ababa expressed its view on the importance of unity with other movements and need to reach a formula on a united negotiation stance. Sudan Liberation Movement (Revolutionary Forces) affirmed its call for the peaceful solution and called on the government to implement the requirements for peace and to avoid any linking between the negotiation process in Doha with the elections, adding that it has nothing do with the good will agreement which was signed between the government and the Justice and Equality Movement. The spokesman of the Justice and Equality Movement, Ahmed Hussein, said that his movement has forward a road map for launching the negotiation process, indicating that this road map is not confined to cease-fire, but includes all the files of negotiation. He said that Darfur issue is a political one and can not be confined to the security file and the cease-fire. |
