(SUNA) Sudan permanent envoy to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdul-Mahmoud Abdul-Halim, has described the recent move of the so-called International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sudan as a desperate attempt to hamper the ongoing march for realizing peace and bolstering the democratic process in Sudan.
In a statement to SUNA, Ambassador Abdul-Halim said that the move of the deformed organ, the ICC, came disgraceful, politicized and lacking to any legal basis, therefore it was condemned by all the peace-loving nations, adding that even Sudan enemies have failed to defend such a politicized move of the ICC. Sudan envoy has appreciated the stances expressed lately by China, the Arab League and the African Union with regard to the suspicious move of the ICC , especially after declaration of the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa to its full support to Sudan and the stability and the political transformation at it. He pointed out that the move of the ICC provided additional evidence on its isolation of the fact that is an organ of political intriguing and double standards. |
