Parties in South Sudan Threaten to Boycott Elections |

(SV) A group of parties in South Sudan including National Congress Party have threatened to boycott the upcoming elections in the event restriction on their electoral campaign by the Government of South Sudan continues.
The Chairman of the South Sudan Democratic Forum, Martin Elia demanded calling off the elections in the event the parties' activities are not protected, and the pending of South–South dialogue continues. On the other hand, Peter Sule, the Chairman of United Democratic Front, warned against the continuation of what he termed "detention campaigns" against his party members in some south Sudan states. In the same context, Juma Said, leader in the National Congress Party, called on Sudan People's Liberation Movement to provide equal electoral conditions for all parties in South Sudan. |
