(SS) Apart from the political solutions and bargaining process taking place between the National Congress Party and the SPLM on the election process in South Kordofan State, and apart from the gains the National Congress has offered the SPLM in South Kordofan, the SPLM is still facing a big problem in South Kordofan, which represents one of the biggest challenge the SPLM has ever faced because the people of South Kordofan refuses to be part of south Sudan after they watched the hunger and bloody intertribal confrontations spreading in different parts of South Sudan. The SPLM attempt to blame the National Congress for the political crisis in South Kordofan is just an attempt to find excuses for its failure to find a solution to the growing crisis between the SPLM grassroots and leaders in the state. That was happened to Major General Daniel Kodi when the SPLM Liberation Council decided to oust him form his post as the SPLM leader and deputy governor of the South Kordofan state. The Abdul-Aziz Al-Hilo, the successor of Major General Kodi, has the faced the same problem with the SPLM grassroots in the state. Major General Talafon Kuku, the special envoy of south Sudan government to South Kordofan State, has said that the soldiers and officers of the SPLA in the state have called for finding a solution to the conflict between the SPLM grassroots and Abdul-Aziz Al-Hilo who decided to dismiss some SPLM members from the party in the state a step that provoked the SPLA. Reliable source in South Kordofan State said that Al-Hilo will face the same fate of his predecessor Kodi. The real problem is the growing feeling among the SPLM grassroots from the Nuba that they are completely marginalized by the SPLM leadership. They said that they are neither voted for Arman's candidature for the Presidency nor given the chance to nominate their candidature at the national level. They also became confident that the SPLM is focusing on establishment of its impendent state in South Sudan and that it is o longer concerned about their issues. This situation incarnates one of the biggest SPLKM political dilemmas. The SPLM has pushed the Nuba people to fight with them during the North-South war. But, when the peace agreement is reached, the SPLM ignored the people of the Nuba and focused on establishment of its independent state in the south. |
