(SUNA) The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muawiya Osman Khalid, has belittled the effect of the step adopted by the US administration for alleviating the restrictions imposed on Sudan with regard to benefiting from the services offered by Google and Microsoft.
He said in a statement to the press Wednesday that this step is not of a big impact, adding that the single accepted thing is the full and unconditioned lifting of the economic sanctions and the restrictions that were imposed by the US administration on Sudan, adding that any other measure will be regarded as of little importance and effect. Khalid said that like this step on alleviating the restrictions imposed on Sudan with regard to benefiting from the services offered by Google and Microsoft was not taken to help the concerned countries, but was adopted mainly to remove any sort of embarrassment that would occur inside the United States on ground that the ban on Internet became regarded as direct violation on human rights and breach of the right of knowledge. |
