The National Congress Party (NCP) reiterated that the national elections set for coming April would not be putt off, while opposition parties have tabled before the National Elections Commission a list of demands to be answered by Wednesday at latest.
NCP Political Mobilization Secretary-General Hajj Majid Suwar yesterday stressed that elections would not be postponed, otherwise many negative consequences might arise. He added that the aim of the Salvation was to bar some political parties from launching their secular programs based on what they call the new Sudan philosophy, and to maintain the unity, security and stability of the country. He claimed that the other political parties target power, notwithstanding their poor experiment, while the NCP, which has a program that represents all the Sudanese people, has the faculties to sweep elections and put in place a state that would apply the rule of law, preserve national sovereignty, human rights, deliver freedoms and achieve equality among citizens. |
