The Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir has said that the Justice and Equality Movement in Darfur region has no options but to surrender or face the vast deserts.

In a meeting with the Sudanese Bar Association last week, President Al-Bashir said that the Sudanese Army was able to militarily defeat rebels of the Justice and Equality Movement led by Dr. Khalil Ibrahim.

President Al-Bashir, on his capacity as the commander of the armed forces, stated that the rebels of Khalil are now staying in an arid and inhospitable area a matter which made the movement with no options.

In fact, the news coming from Darfur showed the unprecedented decline of the movement of Dr. Khalil. This decline represents in the military defeats and the splits of the field commanders.

The stay of Dr. Khalil Ibrahim in Libya away from his rebels in Darfur has deepened the frustrations among his field commanders.

A military expert told Sudansafari by telephone that the Justice and Equality Movement, which lures children into guerilla war, will not be capable to fight a well-trained and organized army with a wide knowledge of all types of wars, the battle field and the topography of the area.

During its recent battles with the armed forces, the Justice and Equality Movement lost about 300 of its rebels.

This fact confirms the viewpoint of the military experts and supports news reports that the Justice and Equality Movement is passing critical situations.
