Gration said, "The decision will make his mission more difficult and challenging, especially if we realize that resolving the crisis in Darfur and in the South, issues of oil, and combating terrorism at 100 percent, we need Al Bashir." He added, "Also regarding the issues of citizenship and referendum, the north holds a lot of influence, so this is really tough. How will I carry out my duties in this environment?" Last June US Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice was "furious" when Gration said that Darfur was experiencing only the "remnants of genocide". The State Department quickly confirmed that its official position is that genocide is ongoing. The contradictory stance of the US Administration towards the so-called International Criminal Court coincides with the American policy towards the rest of the world. The question that poses itself, is why did the US Administration assign a special envoy with such calibers like General Scott Gration? We believe that the US Special Envoy Scott Gration well understood the situation during his stay in Sudan touring all its hot points and talking to top officials and ordinary citizens. He had enough time to see on the ground the situation without facing any obstacles, but it is obvious that the hardliners in the US Administration are practicing pressures on Obama to the extent that he is now retreating from even the easiest electoral programmes such as the closure of Guantanamo prison. The US Administration is losing its accountability every new morning due to the arrogance of those of Susan Rice and her likes in the White House. Obama is now between the Rock of his promises for change and the Hammer of the hardliners who actually direct the US Administration policy through the Jewish lobbies and the eagles in the White House. It is better for the US Administration to review the bloody ugly files of the Jewish State towards the civilians in Palestine schools and hospitals. The US Administration should review the crimes of the American Blackwater gangs. The US Administration is asked to review the scandals of Abu Ghuraib and Faluja. The freewill nations will no more believe in the US Administration big lies over the democracy or freedoms. |
